Remember FNAF? The Movie Based on the Game is Actually in the Works

Work on the movie adaptation of the popular survival horror game series is progressing. The creator of Five Nights at Freddy's informed about the choice of the script and the period in which the shooting for the adaptation will begin.

The long-awaited movie based on the game series created by Scott Cawthon finally has a script. We also found out that it will soon be put into production. The developer of Five Nights at Freddy's announced that the work on the movie will start in spring 2021.

Cawthon posted an unpleasantly titled post, "Bad news about the FNAF movie", on Reddit in which he describes the stories sent to him by numerous film studios, directors and hired authors and indicates what he didn't like about the texts. In fact, there is not a pinch of bad news in the whole post; it was just an innocent joke to move the hearts of faithful fans. In this way, Cawthon said he wouldn't consider any more proposals because he found a script that met his expectations. It's called "Mike".

Scott doesn't say much about it - only that it makes sense, combines all the best threads from the other stories sent to him, the characters have the right motivations and agree with those set in the universe. It is also funny, above all, terrifying and has a great plot.

It seems that Scott can fully devote himself to the work on set, because the next game in the series - Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach - is dealt with by Steel Wool Studios, responsible for the collection minigames set in the FNAF universe and prepared for VR technology.
