Rumor: Ubisoft Prepares Prince of Persia Reboot for 2023/24

Prince of Persia may get a new game. According to a leak, we will have to wait a long time for Prince of Persia's return in a new adventure.

Prince of Persia is one of the many franchises that have practically disappeared from the market (if we do not count some VR experiments) to the great disappointment of gamers. These, of course, from time to time call for the revival of this age-old series. The fact that a remake of The Sands of Time is being prepared is a scarce consolation for the fans of the Prince, but will it entail a return of the series? Yes, if we believe YouTube user Lazy Assassin, who was supposed to find out about the planned announcement of the refreshed Sands of Time. In his new video (via Reddit), the youtuber claims that Ubisoft is working on a completely new installment of Prince of Persia, a kind of reboot of the series.

Such reboots are nothing new to the series, which has already started from scratch twice. What's worse is that we'll have to wait for the release, because the project is only at the stage of early concept work. Lazy Assassin is not expecting its launch until 2023 or even 2024, although this is only his guess. We emphasize: it is an unconfirmed leak, and even much more reliable sources can be mistaken or fall victim to disinformation. So let us wait for the publisher's announcements and keep our fingers crossed for the Prince's return.
