SCS Sofware Announces ETS2 Heart of Russia Expansion

SCS Software announced the next addition to Euro Truck Simulator 2. It will be called Heart of Russia and will enable us to drive a truck through the European part of Russia.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. SCS Software announced the Heart of Russia expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2;
  2. Thanks to the add-on we will explore European part of Russia - including Moscow;
  3. The release date of the DLC remains unknown.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 will receive the 9th major expansion. SCS Software announced that Heart of Russia will enable us to explore a part of the Motherland. The release date was not specified. As we can read in the message, the DLC will be released when the employees consider it completely finished.

The devs have announced that due to the vastness of the country, they will be unable to present its entire area. Therefore, Heart of Russia will enable us to explore only the part of Russia reaching beyond Moscow, to the Volga and Oka rivers. This means that the addition will offer us a fragment of the European part of the country.

On the occasion of the announcement, a number of images showing how the content will look like was also shown. Some of them are available below. Other screenshots can be found here.

It's worth bearing in mind that Russia has already appeared in Euro Truck Simulator 2 before. In 2018, the Baltic Route add-on came to the game, introducing the northern part of the country, including St. Petersburg.

While the release of Heart of Russia is still a long way off, another expansion looms on the horizon. According to SCS Software representatives, the Iberia DLC will most likely go on sale in April.
