Publisher Devolver Digital has published a quite sizeable, 15-minute gameplay video from the recently announced Shadow Warrior 2 – the continuation of the first-person action game from 2013 created by Flying Wild Hog. Thanks to the above footage, we can take a closer look at gameplay features such as stealth or bloody combat with the use of spectacular tools – eg. katana or minigun.
A new feature of the discussed sequel will be the co-op mode designed for up to four players. In this mode, every person will in fact control the protagonist, Lo Wang, at the same time seeing the other participants of the game as completely different characters. This aspect of the game can also be found in the above video.
Shadow Warrior 2 is designed for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and is set for a release in 2016. The game will take place five years after the events of its predecessor. Once again players will assume the role of Lo Wang, who must stand eye to eye with the demonic forces of evil. Our hero will dispatch all those standing in his way using a wide arsenal – from firearms to blades of different kinds. The key change in relation to game number one will be the introduction of co-op, as well as an implementation of vast open spaces that provide greater freedom of movement.
