Check Out the Best Commercials From Super Bowl 2021
During this year's Super Bowl we got to see ads from such brands as Amazon, Cadillac, Doritos and Jeep.
The 55th Super Bowl is behind us. On the sporting side, it was not the most interesting game in the history of competition. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, easily defeated the last year's champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, 31:9. However, football struggles are only one element of the entire gala. Musical performances (this year, The Weeknd performed during the traditional Halftime Show) and commercials are also an inseparable element of the event. The review of 10 most interesting spots can be found below.
Amazon
Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Black Panther) as the male voice of voice assistant Alexa. And here's where we stop, before this gets even more awkward than in Amazon's commercial.
Anheuser-Busch
The most cinematic of all the ads, as it was produced by acclaimed director David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club), whose career began with this very type of ad. Composer Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Gone Girl) is responsible for the music.
Cadillac
Edward Scissorhands is back! Actually, it is his son, Edgar. The role of the descendant of Johnny Depp's iconic character was played by Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet. Winona Ryder reprised her role from Tim Burton's movie. And all this in a commercial for the new Cadillac.
Cheetos
Ashton Kutcher in search of missing snacks which his wife Mila Kunis notoriously steals from him. The spot is a parody of Shaggy's It Wasn't Me. The original singer also appears in the commercial as an advisor to the actress.
Doritos
Another snack commercial, this time starring Matthew McConaughey. The actor known, among others, from the series True Detective was flattened and his joy of life was taken away. A pack of new Doritos 3D comes to the rescue.
General Motors
Norway sells more electric cars per capita than the United States. Will Ferrell greets us with this interesting fact, as he plans to take revenge on the Scandinavians with the help of a car made by General Motors. He is accompanied in the raid by Kenan Thompson and Awkwafina (The Farewell).
Jeep
The American off-road vehicle manufacturer decided to strike a patriotic note. The narrator, in the voice of legendary singer Bruce Springsteen, urges all residents of the United States to reunite and rise above social divisions.
Michelob
A copy will never be the original. This tired cliché is the subject of a Michelob beer commercial featuring guest star Don Cheadle. There are a few other celebrities in the spot, but are they really who they say they are?
Rocket Motgage
A mortgage company decided to hire Tracy Morgan (30 Rockefeller Plaza) and teach viewers that being "pretty sure" is not the same as being sure.
State Farm
In this short insurance company ad, Drake, the popular rapper who loves to be in the spotlight, has to settle for an understudy role. Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) also makes a guest appearance
