Slow Horses Season 4 Release Window. The Sequel Starring Gary Oldman Gets Approximate Release Date
Slow Horses is arguably one of the best shows available on Apple TV+. The showrunner revealed whether we will have to wait long for the fourth season.
Slow Horses – a show where Gary Oldman portrays the leader of the "special" MI5 division made up of losers, outcasts, and disgraced agents – stands as one of the most successful Apple TV+ productions. Therefore, it's not surprising that the series, which cleverly combines humor and a fast-paced plot, has been extended for a fourth season. We now have an estimated release date for the new season.
Will Smith, the showrunner of the spy series, revealed that fans of Jackson Lamb won't have to wait long for another encounter with the extraordinary Secret Service agent. The filmmaker assured that the new episodes will be released within a year, although he didn't reveal the exact premiere date:
I genuinely don’t know. But I can tell you that it [premiere] won’t be later than this time next year. So you won’t have to wait longer than a year.
We can assume that the fourth season will be available on Apple TV+ in November or December 2024 at the latest, given that the first episode of the third series debuted on the platform on November 29, 2023.
What can we expect in the fourth season of Slow Horses?
Smith also disclosed additional details about the storyline of the upcoming series in an interview for Decider. The death of one of Jackson Lamb's team members will be revealed to the viewers (the announcement of the death of one of the Slow Horses appeared at the end of the third season). The new episodes will also explain what River Cartwright will do with the copy of the top-secret files that the characters obtained at the end of the last series.
The showrunner revealed that Standish and Lamb, who had a disagreement in the final episode of the third season, will quickly join forces again. A romance between Louisa and Rivera is also looming on the horizon. You have to admit – there's something worth waiting for.
