Fans of Game of Thrones may be interested in the upcoming TV series from Apple TV+, which will be released next week.
One of the favorites of Game of Thrones viewers was Khal Drogo and Jason Momoa, who played him. Thanks to his participation in the popular HBO series, Momoa gained considerable publicity, and his career took off, allowing him to compete for roles in major cinema blockbusters such as Aquaman and Minecraft.
Now, however, Jason Momoa is returning to the small screen with a new production that is close to his heart and should be watched by all fans who loved him in Game of Thrones. Momoa not only co-created the upcoming Apple TV+ series with Thomas Pa'a Sibbett, but also wrote the script, directed some episodes, and, of course, starred in one of the leading roles. He is fully involved in the production, described as an epic and unprecedented tale of the unification and colonization of Hawaii at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.
We are talking about Chief of War, which will be released on Apple TV+ on August 1, 2025. Two episodes are scheduled to be released on the premiere date, with subsequent episodes coming out weekly on Fridays. The TV series consists of nine episodes.
Chief of War is a project that Momoa and Sibbett have been planning since 2015, and he is very passionate about it. The TV series looks intriguing and has a good chance of appealing to Game of Thrones fans, not only because of Jason Momoa, but also because of the exciting action that will be featured in the Apple TV+ TV show.
We are just a week away from the premiere of the new TV series starring Jason Momoa, after which fans will be able to explore the story that the actor has wanted to tell for 10 years.
