Star Wars: Battlefront Open Beta details
Star Wars: Battlefront Open Beta will be live on October 8-12 on all platforms. Everyone interested will be able to try out three playable modes on three maps.
Star Wars: Battlefront Beta players will get a chance to hold off an Imperial assault on Hoth, or wipe the Rebels off the face of the icy planet.
Electronic Arts and DICE studio announced that Star Wars: Battlefront Open Beta (meaning everyone can hop in) on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Origin will be live on October 8-12. The test version will let us try out three multiplayer game modes on three different maps:
- Walker Assault on Hoth: 40-player battles on the surface of the famous icy planet. You can either side with Rebels and use Y-Wings to destroy assaulting AT-AT Walkers, or defend the machines and crush the resistance as the Empire forces.
- Drop Zone on Sullust: 8v8 competitive matches for control of dropping escape pods.
- Survival Mission on Tatooine: this one can be played alone or with a friend (online co-op or split-screen). You have to fight back waves of Imperial forces.
Star Wars: Battlefront is coming out to PS4, XONE, and PC on November 17, 2015 in North America, and November 19 in Europe.
