Star Wars Jedi a Trilogy? Game Director Sees No Other Possibility

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will most likely not be the last installment of the series. The creators' vision is for a trilogy about the adventures of Cal Kestis.

Fans of Star Wars are counting down the days until the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from 2019. However, it turns out that the developers are already thinking about the next installment of the series.

  1. This fact was revealed in an interview with IGN website by Stig Asmussen, the director of both parts of the series.
  2. Asmussen says that from the beginning his vision for the series was to have a trilogy.
  3. Already while working on the first installment, the creators had a good idea of what they would show in the sequel and many ideas regarding the third part.
  4. Stig Asmussen further revealed that the possible third part will most likely be developed on Unreal Engine 5 (Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor use UE4).
  5. The switch to the new technology will not be easy. While working on the series, the developers enriched Unreal Engine 4 with many of their own solutions, and when changing the engine it will be necessary to transfer them to UE5.

Of course, the creation of a third part will only be possible if the second installment of the series is successful, but given the popularity of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the reputation of Respawn Entertainment, this seems more than likely.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is heading for PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, and will be released on April 28 this year.

Fans of the game may also be interested in the novel titled Jedi: Battle Scars, which will tell the story of the events between the first and second game. The book will hit the shelves of American bookstores on March 7.

Waiting for the release Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can be made more pleasant by revisiting Fallen Order and checking out mods that provide fresh challenges. Especially worth recommending are:

  1. Enemy Cloner - the mod multiplies the number of enemies in each location.
  2. Infinite Arena Points - the project removes limits in arena mode, enabling you to face any number of enemies.
  3. Enemy Randomizer - enables you to swap enemies in the campaign. We can freely swap them for others or opt for a random selection.
