The first gameplay recording from the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has hit the web. That's a lot of combat and a bit of exploration in one video.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor recently syffered a six-week delay, but fans should have no reasons to complain. The first gameplay video, lasting nine minutes, has just hit the web - was made available on the IGN channel on YouTube. Check it out below.
The footage is largely a montage of battles, which Cal Kestis, accompanied by BD-1, fights on the planet Koboh. On it, the protagonist is looking for something to help him repair his ship, the Mantis. Cal's opponents are wild creatures and droids. The fight looks similar to what we know from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - there are fast finishers, throwing objects or swords and using the Force.
We also saw what the location map looks like, but we do not see Cal's available skills. In addition to the combat itself, the gameplay includes a few shots of "parkour" (running or climbing walls). The game will also feature collectibles familiar from the previous installment, namely item crates and character memories.
The developers recently assured that the game is in the final stages of work. Respawn Entertainment is now focusing on eliminating bugs, so it is possible that the release will not be postponed again. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will debut on April 28 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles and PCs.
