Respawn Reminds of Its Upcoming Star Wars Shooter

Respawn Entertainment's official website has posted a job announcement, in which the studio expressed its desire to expand the team working on an Star Wars FPS game. It reveals that the game will offer multiplayer features.

Almost exactly one year ago we reported about Respawn Entertainment's extensive plans to develop the Star Wars universe in video games. The announcement at the time proclaimed that the studio, together with Lucasfilm Games, is overseeing three game under the banner of Star Wars - a sequel to Fallen Order, a first-person shooter and a strategy game.

Unfortunately, since then, no addition information on the last two projects have appeared on the web, making it seem that only the continuation of Fallen Order - Survivor - has stood the test of time. Nothing could be further from the truth.

It seems that Respawn has not abandoned its ambitious plans, at least when it comes to the aforementioned FPS. Indeed, the developers' official website posted a job announcement. According to the information contained in it, the studio is looking for a senior software engineer who would like to join the team currently developing a shooter set in the Star Wars universe. Of particular note is the "desired qualifications" section, which clearly states that the new employee should have experience working on multiplayer games (via Insider-Gaming).

Given that Respawn is still assembling a team for the mysterious project, one should not set oneself up for an imminent release of the work. Therefore, we have no choice but to wait for official announcements from the studio.

Finally, let us remind that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released on March 17, 2023, on PC, PS5 and XSX/S.
