Stranded: Alien Dawn - how to get more survivors?

In this article we will tell you how to get new survivors for your colony in Stranded: Alien Dawn. You start the adventure with 4 colonists, but this does not have to be the final number.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is a survival colony-building game, similar in many ways to the already famous RimWorld. You can start this production with up to 4 survivors. With their help you will build a colony. However, during the course of the game you can gather additional colonists (there is even a special achievement related to this - Eight mates). This article will tell you how to do this.

Random events

As you play, you may encounter random events during which you will have the opportunity to join a new colonist. It is worth noting, however, that some players report that just a few moments after starting the game someone has joined them; others say that it took them in-game years before they had the opportunity to join survivor to a settlement in this way.

Exploration

To have access to Exploration you have to develop your settlement a bit. First of all, you need permanent access to Grains. Then you must research Oil Extraction and Fuel Mixing. Now you can start producing Liquid Fuel. Next, you need to reseach Long Distance Travel and build a hot air balloon. You can now send a survivor on an expedition.

There are several different types of expedition. If you are interested in new colony inhabitants, you should focus on Exploration and Distress Signal. It is worth noting, however, that the effects of your actions are random. Don't expect the very first expedition to make someone join you (although this may happen).
