Yesterday's Future Games Show was exceptionally fruitful. We have collected for you in one place all the most important materials from the event.
Last night, another edition of the Future Games Show took place. Throughout this period, we shared updates on the key announcements and video content, but we also thought it would be worth creating an additional event summary to cover other, smaller titles.
Our news about games showcased at the Future Games Show:
The spring edition of the Future Games Show featured, among other things, a new trailer for Animal Use Protocol, a survival horror game in which we guide a super-intelligent chimpanzee trying to escape from a collapsing laboratory station.
The game will be released on PC next year.
We like games based on crazy ideas, and FEAR FA 98 definitely belongs to this category. The devs describe this project as a "combination of Silent Hill and FIFA 98."
The gameplay centers on matches in a hellish version of football, where psychopaths battle on the field using weapons, black magic, and even demon-summoning rituals, alongside their legs.
Somehow, everything works together perfectly, which you can check out by playing the demo available on Steam. The game is heading exclusively to PC and there is no release date yet.
Among the new features announced during the stream, it's worth mentioning I Hate This Place, a survival horror based on the award-winning comic, in which the action will be shown from an isometric point of view.
The game is being developed by Rock Square Thunder studio and will be released under the Broken Mirror Games publishing line established by Bloober Team, which specializes in unusual horrors.
I Hate This Place is coming exclusively to PC, with the release scheduled for this year.
During the stream, a trailer with gameplay from Industria 2 was also showcased. This is a plot-driven FPS for a single-player, designed (like the first installment) as a spiritual successor to Half-Life 2.
The game is being developed with PCs in mind and for now, the creators aren't ready to announce the planned release date.
One of the most interesting games we could see at the show was Kingmakers, a hybrid of shooter and strategy, which is jokingly referred to as "Mount and Blade with machine guns."
At the Future Games Show, a trailer was presented that introduced the basic gameplay mechanics. The game will allow us to participate in battles in England in 1461, using modern military equipment.
The title is heading for PC and is expected to be released in the second quarter of this year.
Metal Eden looks like a treat for FPS fans, and during the Future Games Show, we were able to see the gameplay trailer for this project.
The game aims to provide an acrobatic combat system, enabling actions like running on walls and using a grappling hook. The project is being developed by Reikon Games, the creators of the game Ruiner.
Metal Eden will be released on May 6th this year on PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.
A new trailer for The Alters, a strategic adventure science fiction game, developed by 11 bit studios, was also presented.
The title is being developed with PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 in mind. The launch is set to take place this year.
The event also brought the first gameplay trailer for WILL: Follow The Light. This is an adventure game enriched with survival and sailing simulator elements, in which we embark on a dangerous journey home through the icy northern seas.
WILL: Follow The Light is heading to PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. The launch is set to take place this year.
