Tainted Grail Appreciated by Players; Comapred to The Elder Scrolls

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon recorded a successful debut in Steam Early Access, with players comparing the game to RPGs such as Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.

Thursday, marked the release of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, a first-person open-world RPG from Awaken Realms in Steam Early Access. The game met with quite a warm reception.

  1. On Steam, 77% of reviews praise the title.
  2. Players like the atmosphere and story background, as well as the freedom to shape the protagonist's progression.
  3. They criticize the empty world and technical issues. Mixed feelings are also caused by the combat, which is fun, but at the same time too simple.
  4. In many player reviews one can find statements that in terms of gameplay the title resembles The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, references to Skyrim are also abundant.
  5. Overall, players seem to be satisfied with Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon and show understanding for the shortcomings in the early version of the game.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is available exclusively on PC and is expected to spend 9-16 months in early access. The game is sold on Steam and GOG.com. In the former, it can currently be purchased 10% off to celebrate the release. On April 6 the price will be raised.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that in parallel a sale is underway on Steam for the first game set in this universe, the roguelike Tainted Grail: Conquest. The title has been discounted by as much as 70%.
