Tales of Arise Rules on Steam

Last week on Steam belonged to RPG games. Tales of Arise scored an impressive debut, and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous continues to sell like hotcakes.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Excellent debut of Tales of Arise;
  2. High sales of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Naraka: Bladepoint;
  3. No Man's Sky on the rise;
  4. NBA 2K22 with abysmal reception and great sales.

As with every Monday, the list of the previous week's biggest (by revenue) Steam bestsellers was released. The jRPG Tales of Arise scored an excellent debut. Three different editions of the game took first, second and sixth place in the list.

The game was very much to the liking of PC players. On Steam 92% of user ratings of Tales of Arise are positive. Yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, the game set an activity record of 60,274 people. This result is much better than the achievements of such giants of the jRPG genre as Final Fantasy XV (29,498) or Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (11,793).

In addition, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, the sequel to the popular RPG from 2019, continues to sell brilliantly. In the previous list it was the second biggest bestseller, and last week the game dropped only one spot.

Also Naraka: Bladepoint continues to sell lake hot cakes, which can be found on the fourth place of the list. However, the game's growth in popularity has slowed down a bit. Last weekend was the first one since the release, when the game didn't set a new activity record. However, it was not far from that, as the activity figure at the hottest moment was only less than 5 thousand lower than the previous week.

No Man's Sky remains on the rise, taking fifth place (a jump of four positions), thanks to a major update and an attractive 50% discount.

At the end it is worth adding that a successful, but only in financial terms, debut was also recorded by NBA 2K22. The game is terribly rated - only 33% of users praise this title, which Steam categorizes as "mostly negative reception". However, as you can see, this does not prevent the project from achieving good sales results.
