Although Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown still worries about optimization or server stability, it has a chance to win over players with its atmosphere - and this feature was emphasized by the developers in a new trailer for the game.
Despite the crushing reception of the June demo version, there is no indication that Nacon intends to delay the release of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, scheduled for September 12 (on PC, PS5, and XSX/S). A new trailer was released today, in which the publisher attempts to improve the bad impression by highlighting the game's potentially biggest advantages - the luxurious atmosphere, visiting lavish car showrooms, and enjoying driving the world's most expensive cars in beautiful (in theory) natural surroundings.
The video released today is titled The Collector, and its hero is Ferrari - a brand that perfectly fits the words "luxury," "glamour," and "most expensive." TDU: Solar Crown will feature ten models from the company:
It will constitute a significant portion of the game's vehicle fleet, which currently includes around 80 confirmed cars. Interestingly, the first six of the Ferrari cars listed above were transferred from 2011's Test Drive Unlimited 2, with studio KT Racing adding only four pieces from itself. So if you get the impression that some models lack detail more than others - that's the reason.
While watching the trailer, it's also worth paying attention to the scenes with the garage, where the Ferraris are parked. Players will have access to a "physical" space from which they can take their belongings for rides, as the developer stated. However, I want to remind you that there will be no purchasing of houses (at least for the premiere; they are supposed to be added later).
By the way, Nacon announced the start of the pre-sale of the Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown collector's edition. It is limited to two thousand copies and can only be ordered at the Nacon Gaming store, costing EUR 249.90. Here is its "physical" content:
