The co-op game Split Fiction has achieved an excellent result in the number of copies sold.
Hazelight Studios boasted on X that Split Fiction sold 2 million copies within a week of its release. SF achieved this result faster than KCD 2, which I compared it to in this news. The game from Warhorse studio sold 2 million copies in 10 days.
The adventure action game Split Fiction has surpassed a very important milestone - the new title from Hazelight studio has sold over a million copies within 48 hours of its release. The developers boasted about this impressive result on X.
While the sales rate of Split Fiction is quite impressive, it lags behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which sold a million copies in roughly 24 hours. However, it should be noted that both games differ significantly from each other. The work of Warhorse is intended for a single player, while the discussed game is for two people.
It's also worth noting that last Sunday (March 9, 2025), Split Fiction set a record for the number of simultaneously active players on Steam. A total of 259,003 users on Valve's platform were playing the title at the same time. Thanks to this, the title ranked 51st in terms of the number of players. For comparison, the previous game from Hazelight Studio, It Takes Two, had a record activity on Steam with around 71,039 people playing simultaneously, ranking 253rd in this regard overall.
The title not only sells extremely well and is frequently played, but also receives "overwhelmingly positive" reviews on both Steam and PlayStation 5. In the case of this first platform, fans have posted over 20 thousand reviews, of which 98% are positive. Meanwhile, in the PS Store, Split Fiction received just under 6,500 ratings, giving it an average score of 4.9/5.
