Promising Horror Game The Chant Will Debut Later This Year

The Chant, a new horror game from industry veterans, has received a release date. The game will debut later this year.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • The Chant received a release date;
  • The upcoming horror game from industry veterans will hit stores this October;
  • The game will take us to a desolate island overrun by terrifying monsters.

The Chant from Brass Token received its first teaser. Thanks to it we already know what we can expect from the upcoming game.

Moreover, it was revealed when we will be able to play the game. This promising horror will hit store shelves in October this year.

Debut from the veterans

The Chant is a debut production of Brass Token. However, the team is full of experienced developers. Among them we can find former employees of EA, Rockstar and The Coalition (known from the Gears of War series).

The developers will take the players to a desolate island, which is an asylum for a seemingly harmless new age cult. However, the main character of the game quickly realizes that the area is overrun by bloodthirsty beasts summoned as a result of a failed ritual.

The Chant is supposed to be an action game with clear horror elements. During the gameplay we will encounter many psychedelic phenomena and we will stand up to fight with terrifying monsters.

Special powers, which the protagonist will have, will help us in battles. Crafting system will also be useful.

According to information from a year ago, the game was supposed to come to PC, PS4 and PS5 as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X. However, in the teaser only PCs and next-gen consoles were mentioned. So it is possible that the game will not appear on older devices.
