The Day Before With New Early Access Release Date and Gameplay Presentation

Survival MMO game The Day Before has a new (another) release date. Facing many controversies over the years, this time the game by Fntastic is scheduled to be released on December 7, in early access.

1. The Day Before on Steam

I advise you to approach the date with caution. Let me remind you that the developers until recently have been claiming that the game will launch on November 10 - and in full version.

As a consolation, the developers presented us with a video (below), in which they explained the basic of gameplay, as well as showed some actual gameplay footage.

• The game will offer an open world, and its action will take place in modern times on the east coast of the USA, specifically in the fictional city of New Fortune and its surrounding area.
• The gameplay will begin as a survivor of an epidemic of a virus that turns people into zombies. Players will wake up in the colony of Woodberry. Before this happens, however, we will create our avatar, for which we will choose personality, gender and appearance.
• The main goal in The Day Before will be collecting resources needed to rebuild society. On our way will stand the aforementioned creatures, as well as hostile people controlled by other players.
• In return for completing objectives, we will receive local cash, for which we will buy ammunition, weapons, food, equipment or fast vehicles at the base.
• The survival element of the game will be the need to take care of food, hydration and sleep. In addition, in The Day Before we will find gyms or a spa facilities, where our character will be able to relax.
• Players will be able to have their own ranch, which they will decorate from scratch.

The video indicates that The Day Before will not be a particularly original game in terms of mechanics or gameplay. I'll even say that the game seems to me more and more generic and bland with each successive material. Anyway, judge for yourself.

Ironically, the game's product card on Steam received new system requirements (below), which are higher - especially the minimum - than those revealed in in January 2021.

2. Intel Core i7-8700 (3.2 GHz) processor or AMD equivalent
3. RAM: 16 GB
4. Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or AMD equivalent
5. Disk space: 55 GB (SSD)

Finally, I will point out that The Day Before will come out only on PC for now, however, as the developers assure us, with the release of the full version of the game it will also come to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
