First major update for Assassin's Creed: Shadows is just around the corner. It will introduce changes players requested from Ubisoft along with many fixes

Ubisoft prepared the first major update for Assassin’s Creed: Shadows (the previous one was minor). Gameplay changes are likely to attract many players (particularly those who had previously proposed ideas to the French company) and also please PS5 Pro owners.

Patch 1.0.2 will hit the game on April 8, 2025, at 7:00 am PT. Below you will find its size on various platforms.

The devs decided to introduce the much-anticipated feature of automatic road following when riding a horse. The speed of mounts in cities will also slightly increase, so we can reach our destination faster. What else will the first big patch for the Japanese "Assassin" include?

1. The "Mastery Nodes Reset" option will appear. Thanks to this, players will once again fill out the selected skill tree for Yasuke or Naoe.
2. During trading, we will mark and sell many items at once.
3. When we hold down the button or the "options" key for a few seconds, an investigation board will open.
4. The game will receive PSSR support on PS5 Pro. If the owners of this console started playing before the patch was released, they must enable this function in the menu. Besides, the "balanced mode" will get the Raytraced Specular option, which will improve the image quality.
5. The frame rate will be unlocked in the hideout in performance mode (so far it has reached a maximum of 30 fps).
6. The balance will be adjusted during boss battles.
7. The bug, which caused a guiding line to the target to appear on the road in photo mode, will be removed.
8. Double assassinations will get better.

These are just the most important improvements that will be added to the game today. In addition to those, the developers have resolved numerous issues concerning quests, stealth, combat, balance, and artificial intelligence.
