The Forever Winter was released a few minutes ago. The game was anticipated by many fans of extraction shooters. TFW starts in early access, so some problems were expected. No wonder that many players report that the game crashes for various reasons.

The Forever Winter Crashes on Linux

It seems that one of the reasons for crashes is the OS, and more precisely – Linux. If you have this operating system, there is a great chance that the game will crash on launch for you. How to fix it? Players have figured it out. Try to change your Proton version for the latest one or open the game itself in the compatibility mode (through properties of the game on Steam).

Out of video memory error in The Forever Winter

The above is not the only problem with the title. Many people experience out of video memory error, too. It seems that some players connect it with recent Intel’s CPU’s issues (more about them here). However, some fans suspect a memory leak. So, how to fix it? It seems that you have to restart the game (and possibly PC) from time to time.
