Sequel to Game About Miners Dreaming of Riches Confirmed; UnderMine 2 to Expand on Charms of Original
Thorium Studio released the first trailer for UnderMine 2. The second installment of the hit game will bring some new features, which modders will enjoy.
UnderMine, beloved by many players, will receive a sequel. The developers of the hit game with roguelike elements presented a trailer for the second installment, but unfortunately, they didn't specify the date of its release on PC. Instead, we learned about the new features that will be coming to the game.
Unlike the first game, the sequel will have a local cooperation mode, so we will be able to play together with a friend. We will also unlock new playable characters and acquire relics called Arcana, which give characters extra abilities, as we make progress.
UnderMine 2 will also include full support for mods and the Steam Workshop. In the "sequel," we will be able to create our own characters, items, and quests. The plot revolves around the ruler Faraam IV's quest to reclaim his throne and the confrontation with the "demonic siblings."
The community received both the trailer and the announced changes well. Many people are very excited about the new game in the series and appreciate the support for mods.However, there are many requests addressed to devs to introduce online cooperation.
Let's remind that the "first" UnderMine was released in August 2020. The game was well-received by Steam users. They gave it over 8,000 reviews, of which almost 92% praised the fun in the underground.
