The Lords of the Fallen Impresses With Style; CI Games Shares 4K Screenshots

Recently, more and more materials introducing us to The Lords of the Fallen have been hitting the web. This time we can get acquainted with some phenomenal screenshots presenting the work of CI Games.

A few days ago, CI Games announced that The Lords of the Fallen is to be a better game than the acclaimed Dark Souls 3. The ambitions of the developers definitely can not be denied, but will they go hand in hand with the quality of their work? This we do not know yet. Nevertheless taking into account the recently published graphics (via Gematsu) of the upcoming action RPG, it looks like the game will at least be an interesting alternative to the title by FromSoftware..

The aforementioned screenshots give a glimpse of the dark land in which The Lords of the Fallen will be set. In addition, they give a better look at the various kinds of enemies we will face. As we know, the game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, and the screenshots seen below suggest that the developers from Hexworks are able to exploit the full potential of Epic Games' technology.

Recall that The Lords of the Fallen was originally intended to be a sequel to the 2014 game, but over time the project evolved and became a reboot of the brand. The most striking change (in addition to the visuals, of course) will be a vast map, five times larger than the original, and a division between the world of the living and the dead.

The Lords of the Fallen is headed for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, and at the time of writing this post we do not know the game's exact release date. All we know is that it is expected to launch in 2023..
