The Riftbreaker Recorded High Sales Thanks to Game Pass

Studio Exor has revealed high sales figures of The Riftbreaker and plans to develop the game in 2022.

THE RIFTBREAKER ROADMAP:
  1. End of January 2022: gameplay balance improvements, engine optimization and bug fixes;
  2. March or April 2022: game world expansion with new region and paid DLC with story campaign;
  3. End of 2022: multiplayer.

Exor boasted the sales results of The Riftbreaker. Sales on all hardware platforms exceeded 350 thousand copies.

The game is also available on PC and Xbox consoles as part of the Game Pass subscription. Taking into account the users who have checked it out through this service, we get a figure of over half a million people who have played The Rifbreaker.

The Riftbreaker was released on October 14th on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Thanks to backward compatibility, owners of Xbox Series X/S and PS5 can also play the game.

Since the October launch till the end of 2021 the creators have released over a dozen updates. They do not intend to slow down and promise that 2022 will be equally rich for fans of the game. At the end of January we'll receive patches improving the gameplay balance (especially the functioning of cultivators), improving the optimization and operation of the mouse (especially when the engine generates low fps) and fixing bugs reported by players. In addition, we can expect corrections to the recently released modding tools.

  1. Ton of New Stuff Coming to The Riftbreaker

At the end of March or in April we are supposed to receive the World Expansion update, which will enrich the game with an additional biome, enabling us to explore previously inaccessible regions of the alien planet. The location will offer unique flora and fauna and new weather events, weapons, technologies, items and upgrades.

All these novelties will be available for free in survival mode. At the same time, a paid DLC will be released with a story campaign taking place in these locations.

The creators are also working on adding the multiplayer mode. Works on it run parallel to other novelties. Multiplayer requires rebuilding a large part of the game code, so we'll have to wait for it until the end of 2022. However, beta tests should start before then.
