The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine FAQ answered; watch the launch trailer

Fans of The Witcher 3 are invited to watch the newly released Blood and Wine launch trailer. In other news, CD Projekt RED answered some frequently asked questions, which reveal new details about the expansion.

It’s less than a week until the release of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, so CD Projekt RED decided to whet the fans’ appetites by releasing the launch trailer. The video introduces the sinister story of Geralt’s final monster hunt, which will entail facing off hideous vampires and other beasts of the night in a seemingly idyllic realm. Plus, it has some metal music.

CD Projekt RED also took to their forums (in Polish) to answer some frequently asked questions regarding Blood and Wine. Here’s the most essential news:

Players will be able to start the Blood and Wine storyline at any time after installing the add-on, however, the recommended character level is at least 34–35 (64 for NG+). The new level cap is 100.

The adventure featured in the expansion will be a separate one from the main storyline from Wild Hunt. Even so, you will be able to move back and forth between main game locations and Toussaint whenever you want. You will also notice that the graphics in Toussaint are slightly better than in other regions. Interestingly, there will be some differences in what you see in Blood and Wine depending on whether you completed the original game’s main story or not, but the devs won’t reveal them so as not to spoil the fun.

The exact release date of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine GOG.com digital version is May 30, 4:00 p.m. PDT / May 31, 0:00 BST.
