The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine will be around 10–15 GB in size

CD Projekt RED has revealed that The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine will be 10–15 GB in size, depending on the platform. It was also revealed that a smaller patch for the vanilla game is going to be released just before the expansion.

Marcin Momot, CD Projekt RED’s community lead and website coordinator, has revealed on Twitter that Blood and Wine, a much anticipated expansion pack for the last year’s bestselling Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be approximately ten to fifteen gigabytes in size, depending on the platform you play on. Some people wondered whether or not the aforementioned size includes the upcoming patch for the vanilla game but Momot quickly clarified that it pertains to the add-on itself. To put things into perspective: the first expansion entitled Hearts of Stone was 4.4 GB on PC, 3.5 GB on PS4, and 4.73 GB on Xbox One.

To remind some of you, the abovementioned patch will be released “just before” Blood and Wine and is going to introduce a number of changes, including a reworked user interface. If you want to read more on the topic, head here for details.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is set to be released on May 31, 2016, on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. If you like the soundtracks of The Witcher series, be sure to check out the expansion’s main theme (both in Polish and English), which is based on Lullaby of Woe, the song sang by bruxa (a higher vampire) in A Night to Remember trailer.
