Next-gen Edition of The Witcher 3 Delayed Again

CD Projekt Group has postponed the release of the next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS5 and XSX/S consoles. Again.

It looks like we will have to wait (even) longer for Geralt worthy of current-gen consoles. CD Projekt Group has announced postponement of the release of the next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. No new date was provided, but the devs promised to share more information "as soon as possible."

In a post on Twitter it was mentioned that Saber Interactive will no longer be responsible for the completion of this upgrade. The project will be taken over by the company's internal team, which is currently "evaluating the scope of work to be done". Saber Interactive itself has not published any comment on this matter.

Recall that earlier it was said that release of the update is scheduled for the second quarter of this year. By the way, this was not the first planned release date. Originally, the debut was supposed to take place already in 2021, but later problems of CD Projekt translated into a change in the developer's plans. Delays also affected the analogous next-gen update for Cyberpunk 2077.
