The Witcher: Monster Slayer Launch This Month

The Witcher: Monster Slayer, a Pokemon GO-inspired AR/RPG from CD Projekt RED and Spokko, has received a release date. The title will be available on mobile devices later this month.

CD Projekt RED and Spokko announced the release date of The Witcher: Monster Slayer - a Pokemon GO-inspired augmented reality mobile RPG in which we, as newly-trained Witchers, will hunt monsters known from the universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski. The title will debut on Android and iOS devices on July 21, 2021. Below you can watch a short trailer.

The action of The Witcher: Monster Slayer has been set long before the events from the video games by CDPR. The dark fantasy world - into which our environment is transformed thanks to augmented reality features - is inhabited by numerous monsters. To fight them, the Witcher Guild has been appointed. We play as one of its adepts in order to hunt down the beasts that plague the people.

If that's not enough for you, you'll have to wait for WitcherCon - an event dedicated to The Witcher franchise, organized by CD Projekt RED and Netflix. The event will take place on July 9 and 10, and on its second day an entire segment will be devoted to The Witcher: Monster Slayer.

Or maybe you already know that you're going to spend the summer killing monsters, and you own an Android device? If so, you can pre-register on Google Play right now. Thanks to this you'll embark on the Trail immediately upon release, and as an extra reward you'll receive the Steel Sword of Kaer Morhen, providing you with an additional 10% exp bonus for every slaughtered monster.
