There is a trick to get fresh water in Grounded 2. You will not believe how easy it is

While Grounded 2 does not feature very strict survival mechanics, you still have to eat and drink if you don’t want to die. However, at the beginning you may be lost when it comes to fresh water. At least I was. I couldn’t find it. I was at the point where I almost died when I noticed a simple trick to get as much water as I needed. Therefore, I created this guide.

How to get fresh water in Grounded 2

As I said earlier, water is one of the basic resources needed to survive. Fortunately, once you understand how to get it, you will never get thirsty again. The simple trick is to look high at blades of grass because they gather dew. It is enough to walk a little bit among green grass to find it.

Once you see water, hit the blade, and thanks to that a drop will fall and will be ready to drink. Watch out, though, as it can flow down to a different place, so keep that in mind and follow it.

If you listen to my advice and build your base near the Ranger Outpost (the one where you get the omni-tool from), there will be water every morning waiting for you. Just climb to the top of the building and go between the hydrant and leaf. Water often is there for some reason. So, you don’t need to look for it.

Moreover, you can build a Dew Collector later. It’s one of the basic structures and will provide you with water without any effort.

So, dew from grass blades, water from the top of the facility and drops from a Dew Collector are enough for you to be always well hydrated. It’s an infinite source of H2O. At least for now. Let’s hope that there will be no draughts in the future.
