A few days after Grounded 2 release, many players are still facing various technical issues. Fans experience crashes on Xbox and problems with loading shared worlds. Developers are working on fixes.
The release of Grounded 2 is a successful one. With favorable reviews and good opinions on Steam, it seems that everything is in order. However, let’s remember that we are playing Early Access, so of course, there are some issues. Many players can’t enjoy the game because of problems with loading shared world or crashes (even on Xbox).
We are quite accustomed to crashes on PC. It is the platform with the greatest diversity due to numerous hardware configurations; because of that, it is difficult to optimize everything for everyone. So, we were not surprised when we wrote about technical issues on PC. However, what has caught our attention today is the fact that many Xbox players also experience crashes. The Internet is full of console owners, who can’t play, as the game is turning off itself every few minutes. What is interesting, it seems that there is randomness in this problem. It can start and stop seemingly without any particular reason.
It is strange, as most of the time, games are quite stable on consoles. Moreover, it is unclear whether developers know about this problem or not. On the issue-tracker site, we can read about “Stability crashes.” Looking only at that, it is impossible to tell if Xbox crashes are included.
If you experience this problem, you may try to report it to Obsidian. The instruction on how to do that can be found here.
Once you are able to play, we recommend reading our Grounded 2 guide.
Shared worlds in Grounded 2 are quite a convenient solution… when they work. Sadly, there are many reports that indicate something else. Players experience various issues. Mosty, after an unexpected crash. At this point there is no fixing method which is widely perceived as the one working for all. However, there is hope. The official issue-tracker I have mentioned in the previous section features a note on “Shared Worlds Crashing and Corrupting.” It seems that the problem is under investigation. At this point we can only wait and upvote it, if you experience it too.
