Update 0.1.1 for Path of Exile 2 is just around the corner. The developers stated that it will launch tomorrow, Friday, January 17, assuming no unforeseen issues occur. A full list of changes, which includes about 360 items, was also made available in advance. We presented many of them in the previous news, so here we will focus on what wasn't said during the announcement.
We recently mentioned a general rebalancing of end-game maps, but we didn't know exactly what that meant. Now we have learned the details, which are as follows:
The rebalance is accompanied by changes to many monsters, which should make them less deadly in the overall calculation, for instance by improving visual effects. For some of them, the casting range of abilities was also reduced, so we will die less often due to attacks activated off-screen.
The 0.1.1 update, however, doesn't introduce a lot of changes in skills, so you don't have to worry that your builds will suddenly stop working. Only Supercharged Slam, Scavenged Plating, and Lightning Bolt in the version awarded by the Choir of the Storm Unique Amulet have received a slight refresh.
Since we've already reached the unique items, as the devs mentioned in the announcement, a very large part of them have received enhancements. The list includes over 100 equipment items that should now become somewhat more useful.
Among the worth mentioning general changes, we can find improved Strongboxes, visual effects for using Charms, a roughly 15% increase in armor effectiveness, a higher likelihood of Omens appearing as rewards in the Ritual, and enhanced performance in various areas. There was also quite a big list of fixed bugs.
It's also worth reminding about an extremely important change, which is the addition of item filters for console players. Furthermore, the developers announced that a special Stash Tab dedicated to maps is being prepared, which will undoubtedly please many players, as these can take up a lot of space in the stash.
