Valheim Players can Finally Use World Modifiers on Their Servers

Hit survival game Valheim has received a new update. It bears the number 0.217.19 and for now is available in the form of public tests, so keep in mind that not everything may be perfectly polished at this point.

Valheim 0.217.19 - what's new?

The patch brings many changes. We discuss the most important ones below.

1. An important new feature is that it is now possible to set modifiers that change various aspects of the world on dedicated servers. This is done by the player using parameters in the .bat file, or via the developer console.
2. There is a new item to construct in the game in the form of a blue standing torch.
3. A list of players has been added to the pause menu.
4. Several new console commands for server administrators have been introduced.
5. Devs updated the music of the dwarf Haldor, adding a new extended song.
6. Changes have been made to resource scaling for the dragon eggs, fishing rod and skeleton chest.
7. Haldor's and Hildir's dialogue texts will now be displayed slightly longer to make them easier to read.
8. A number of changes have also been made to the build mode, including fixes to the naming of attachment points.
9. Manual save game files finally save the player's position.
10. Numerous bugs have also been fixed, such as those causing bosses to activate incorrectly, as well as improved gameplay balance.
