Bloody Minute; New Gameplay From Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

Skulls 2023 brought us new bloody gameplay video from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. However, we still haven't learned its release date.

As part of the Skulls 2023 show, studio Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment presented one-minute gameplay video from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II - the sequel to the spectacular TPP action game from 2011. It looks like the sequel will be much more impressive and brutal than the original.

The video above contains sixty seconds of a bloodbath... and seven seconds presenting a glimpse of the game's collector's edition, announced in January. The scenes in which Captain Titus - the protagonist of both installments - quartering enemies with a chainsword seem particularly impressive. Nevertheless, firearms also pack a punch - this can be seen in the final shot, when a large host of Tyranids is literally massacred.

Unfortunately, the gameplay did not bring what fans of Warhammer and gamers in general are waiting for the most, namely the release date. However, based on the information posted on the product card on Steam, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is expected to be released in 2023 (assuming it is not a so-called placeholder). The title is headed for PC, PS5 and XSX/S.

Saber Interactive is a Russian studio, now also with Swedish capital (after Embracer Group invested in the team). The company was originally founded in St. Petersburg, and after 2016 began opening and acquiring studios around the world, including Minsk, Porto, Sundsvall (Sweden) and Alcobendas (Spain).
