PC Gaming Show at E3 2016 featured Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and its brand new trailer that presents sieging. Moreover, some actual gameplay footage from a siege, along with a developer commentary, was presented as well. Both videos show hundreds of troops in action, fiercely assaulting or defending a stronghold, and entirely new type of units: siege engines such as catapults, siege towers and ladders, or a battering ram. More importantly, Mount & Blade II is going to feature an environment destruction system, thanks to which we will be able to actually see the havoc that siege engines wreak on walls, gates, and the like. Obviously, the game is still in works and lacks some polish, therefore the behavior of warriors may seem a bit clumsy at times.
Alas, no launch date was announced.
