The developers of the FPS RoboCop: Rogue City revealed more details about the game's upcoming DLC.
Last month, the Nacon company and the Polish studio Teyon announced the first major story expansion for RoboCop: Rogue City, Unfinished Business. It was also revealed that a standalone expansion focusing on new threats to Detroit will be released in the third quarter of this year. Today, however, further details about the DLC were shared, including its specific release date.
The trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business (below) reveals that the DLC will be released on July 17th this year on PS5, XSX/S, and PC. Unfortunately, neither Teyon, nor the game's publisher announced how much it will cost.
From the new trailer and additional information provided by the devs, we have learned details about the plot of Unfinished Business, including the motives of the dangerous mercenaries who took over the OmniTower built by OCP. Initially, the criminals broke into the Metro West precinct only, from where they stole valuable components belonging to RoboCop. However, they decide to also go to OmniTower to take over all of OCP's technology.
The protagonist's objective is to stop the enemy's plans, but it won't be easy. The OmniTower has been turned into a maze full of traps. The obstacles will be drones, bots, and turrets.
During the mission, Alex Murphy's "ghosts of the past" from before he became RoboCop will come back. The developers revealed that the leader of the mercenaries is an old acquaintance of the protagonist, who, like Murphy, wants to protect Detroit, but intends to achieve this under different conditions. It's all about highlighting past events, which is what Unfinished Business focuses on.
