The Interchange is a very interesting place in Atomfall. It's a great way to solve the problem of not having enough inventory space in your backpack, and there are some hidden rooms to explore too. If you’ve been wondering how to unlock Data Storage Alpha, here’s the way to do it.

How to clear Data Storage Alpha room in Atomfall

Check out our other Atomfall guides on where to find a castle key or how to change the language.

Data Storage Alpha in the Interchange is blocked by a blue toxic mist that’ll quickly damage your character and lead to a fast death. While you can't deactivate the mist, there’s an easy way to get past it. Strange Tonic helps reduce the damage from the infection. Here’s how to get it:

  1. You can buy it from Mother Jago in Casterfell Woods.
  2. Or, you can craft it yourself, but you'll need to find the blueprints first, which are in the Druids Castle in Casterfell Woods.

Keep in mind that the Strange Tonic doesn’t last forever, so you’ll need to move fast. Once you place an atomic battery in the power generator, half of the mist on the upper floor will clear, but the lower floor will still be full of toxins. There's no puzzle to solve here, just a time limit because of the toxicity.

When you get to the bottom, head to the far right corner and grab the key from the dead scientist. Open the storage room door, but watch out for a bunch of rats. Once you deal with them, grab the loot and get out.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
