Netflix surprised fans of the Riverdale series with a new title. We're talking about the movie The Archies, which is now available on the streaming platform. The film based on comic books tells the story of Archie and his friends, who must unite to confront developers trying to take away their Riverdale park.

Viewers are likely wondering one thing after watching this Bollywood-style musical. Where was this movie filmed? The Archies takes viewers to 1960s India, where the movie was shot. So the shooting locations for this motion pictures were Indian cities.

The first "action" was shouted on the film set in Utakamand, a city in southern India in the Western Ghats. The initial part of the main filming took place there, and the team remained at this location for two months, focusing on the crucial scenes. The paparazzi have frequently spotted the main cast in the vicinity, consisting of Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda.

Later, the crew and actors moved to Mumbai to shoot the second batch of scenes. The city was the filming location for a musical sequence featuring ice skating. Other dance scenes were filmed around the Royal Palms, which we can now enjoy watching in The Archies.

Let's recall that the movie was directed by Zoya Akhtar and featured the children of Bollywood celebrities. The show featured characters from comic books such as Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton.
