Who is the Foreign Assassin in Octopath Traveler 2

Unlike NPCs who can be recruited through the use of Path Actions of various playable characters in the game, Foreign Assassins are hired through the use of a Merchant’s Job Skill, Hired Help. The player also has to pay 50,000 Leaves. That makes them the most expensive mercenaries that can be recruited with this skill. However, their power in battle is worth the steep cost.

Not much is known about Foreign Assassins, other than that they are secretive mercenaries who gather at night in Merry Hills. They will only work for those who can beat them in battle. If you can afford to hire them, Foreign Assassins will be extremely useful in combat as each of them deals 9999 damage to all enemies, and they also recover HP and SP of your whole team.

Using Foreign Assassins is also more convenient than other NPCs who can be recruited through the use of Path Actions. That is because those NPCs have to be lead to the site of the battle and may have restrictions on the number of uses you can bring them with you.

How to Hire the Foreign Assassin in Octopath Traveler 2

1. Go to Merry Hills in the Crestlands,

1. Make your way up ,
2. Turn left near the stall,

1. Continue on until you see a ladder and go down,
2. Change the time to night,
3. Talk to the Foreign Assassin and challenge him to a 4 vs 4 battle.

The fight is challenging, but shouldn’t be a problem to any player who has completed the story quests of all of the playable characters. If you succeed, you will gain the ability to summon Foreign Assassins for 50,000 Leaves in battle as long as you have a character with the Merchant Job and the skill Hired Help.
