Warning! Below are spoilers from Paradise.

Paradise is a new hit from Hulu that is full of mysteries. And fans want to solve them all, however, this is not supposed to happen right away – the production skillfully builds a mysterious atmosphere, presenting one secret after another, but just when viewers think they are close to some solution, they find out that nothing is as simple as it might seem.

The biggest mystery of the series, which is present from the first episode, is the one concerning the death of the president. Viewers have been asking themselves from the beginning who killed the president in Paradise. So far, the series has not provided an answer to it, but it has presented several suspects to be considered. You can find them below.

Who killed the president in Hulu’s Paradise?

Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond

The most suspicious seems to be Sinatra – the creator of the utopian city underground, who pulls all the strings there. Recent episodes have shown that the woman had a solid reason to get rid of the president, who had reached the truth about there still being life on the surface and wanted to expose it. Sinatra did not support the idea, fearing it would disrupt the community she had built underground. We also know that Sinatra has assassins acting on her orders who were able to carry out this task.

And just one of the assassins acting for Sinatra is Jane, which is why she is also one of the suspects. The agent tasked with protecting the president had the perfect opportunity to get rid of him. She proved her ability to do so by killing Billy in cold blood.

Dr. Gabriela Torabi

She is one of the most suspicious characters in the series. Evidently, she mixes up a lot in the investigation of the president's death, insisting that Cal confess that he hates the president, as well as leading him on the trail of Billy, who was innocent. She seems to be taking advantage of Xavier, not particularly concerned about their relationship despite the intimacy that has occurred between them.

Interestingly, many things that are said in the series are confirmed by the flashbacks, which were missing when Gabriela mentioned to Xavier that Cal warned her about Billy. This could be a hint that she made it up.

Xavier Collins

Xavier had just as many, if not more reasons to get rid of the president than the others on the list of suspects. However, there are reasons that rather rule out his involvement in the murder. If he was guilty, Xavier would not have gone to so much trouble to solve the case, although he may be doing so just to cover his tracks. But then his reaction to the president's body when he found him seems incomprehensible. No one was next to him at the time, so he didn't have to pretend, so unless he forgot that he contributed to the president's death, he seems unlikely to have anything to do with it.

Nicole Robinson

Nicole is rather low on the list of suspects. Although her earrings were found at the crime scene and she was seen at the president's home shortly before his death, there is a simple explanation for this – Nicole was Cal's lover. In the series, we see that she is genuinely involved in solving his death, and that she sincerely mourns him, so her involvement seems unlikely. But it still cannot be ruled out.

William “Billy” Pace

Because of Gabriela's words, the dangerous Billy with a dark and violent past became one of the suspects. Gabriela let everyone believe that he might have had something to do with the president's death. This, combined with the fact that he showed up at Xavier's house with a gun, did not work in his favor. However, it soon became clear that Billy had nothing to do with it. Although he had other sins on his conscience, he didn't seem connected to the president's death. Especially since Billy liked his life in Paradise, so it's doubtful that he would have done anything to disrupt it. Besides, Billy's death rather skews his chances of being involved in the president's murder, since getting rid of the guilty party so early in the series, without any explanation, would be disappointing.

Cal's family may also be included among the suspects, although so far there has been no indication that they could actually have anything to do with it. Especially since they have an alibi, and his son is mourning his father's death. However, Paradise tells us that no one can be trusted, and as a result, it's worth keeping an eye on them. But it's possible that we should look for the culprit not in the inner circle, but outside Paradise. Perhaps someone on the surface has something to do with it?
