Looks like Mr. & Mrs. Smith series from Amazon Prime Video might be one of the February hits. It’s a remake of the 2005 film starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, but instead of telling the same story all over again, it tackles it from a completely different angle. And certainly much of the charm of this production is precisely in the fact that we don't get the same story all over again, but a new spy adventure.

In it, Jane and John Smith are initially a pair of complete strangers who are recruited by a spy agency. They are given new identities and from then on they are supposed to play married couple, while carrying out new dangerous missions every week. And the more time they spend with each other, the closer they become, and their marriage seems less and less pretend.

Will Mr. & Mrs. Smith return with a season 2?

I'm sure many viewers are wondering if there will be a season 2 of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, especially after that cliffhanger ending. So far, no decision has been made on Amazon's part, at least not officially. But the creators have said they would love to return to this world. In an interview with EW, Francesca Sloane explained:

I think that there’s definitely a lot more story to tell here. And I think that we definitely feel like this is a fully satisfied story if it were to just live on its own. But it definitely has more legs to keep going, that’s for sure.

So for now, nothing is certain and we have to wait for news about season 2 of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but future looks promising thanks to the positive reception the production has received.
