Windows 10 gains ground.

According to betanews, Windows 10 is currently Microsoft's most popular OS. The latest Microsoft OS has overtaken Windows 7 in the December survey by NetMarketShare. The result is not surprising - it confirms the trend previously indicated by the research results of other entities (e.g. StatCounter).

According to NetMarketShare, Windows 10 is currently owned by 39.22% of users (1.08% increase). On the other hand, Windows 7 can still be found on 36.9% of computers (down by 2.32%). A slight drop in popularity was recorded by Windows 8.1 (by 0.14% to 4.45%). The venerable Windows XP is still used by 4.08% of PC owners. The least popular among Microsoft systems is Windows Vista - only 0.27% of users choose it.

Windows 10 debuted on the market in July 2015. Windows 7 is five years older - its release took place in October 2009.
