Tides of Avarice Expansion And Patch 5.00 for X4 Announced

Tides of Avarice expansion for X4: Foundations has been announced. It will expand the content of the game with new factions, ships and sectors. Patch 5.00 will be released along with it.

TIDES OF AVARICE EXPANSION WILL OFFER, AMONG OTHER THINGS:
  1. New factions;
  2. Additional sectors;
  3. Previously unavailable ships;
  4. Scrapping mechanics.

Egosoft has announced X4: Tides of Avarice, which is the third expansion for the space sim X4: Foundations from 2018.

We will not have to wait long for the DLC, as the release is scheduled for the first quarter of next year. It is to be a non-standalone title, which means that you will need the base game to play.

Tides of Avarice will introduce previously unknown factions to the X4 universe, and the virtual galaxy will be expanded with additional sectors and new stations. In addition, the DLC will diversify the game through stellar phenomena that will significantly affect the gameplay. The plot of the DLC will revolve around, among others, the plans of mysterious manipulators.

In X4: Tides of Avarice there are also new ships. Among them will be the Erlking, which is a pirate battleship with an experimental energy source, and the luxurious star yacht Astrid. In addition, the player will receive the option of scrapping discovered wrecks. It will be possible to tow them to specialized points, as well as less profitable scrapping on site.

Along with the release of the DLC the devs will also release update 5.00 to X4: Foundations. It will introduce a series of new warships that will gradually be used by the game's factions. In addition, the patch will add support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology.
