New games will hit Game Pass in the near future. Among the announced titles, two items are particularly eye-catching. There's also a surprise.
Unexpectedly, because without prior announcement, Dead Island 2 was added to the Xbox Game Pass service on consoles and in the cloud (Ultimate). This successful game with zombies can boast an average rating of 73/100 according to Metacritic. You can find more information about the game in our review. We gave it a score of 7.0/10.
We have discovered the list of games that will soon be added to the PC/Xbox Game Pass subscription. Two of the 8 titles coming to Microsoft's service will be released today, in addition to those previously announced, in the second half of February and early March.
Describing the new package heading to Game Pass as exceptionally strong or surprising is difficult, considering that most of the games included have received mixed reviews. Nevertheless, it's worth highlighting two bigger titles.
Tales of Arise, the seventeenth installment of the popular Tales of series from the Japanese studio Bandai Namco, will be released today on the service. The game was well received by both players and critics, who commended the strong storyline and engaging combat mechanics, earning it high scores (87/100 in the PS5 version via Metacritic).
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is another game that deserves more attention, representing the niche genre of boomer shooters. This first-person shooter styled like a 90s game, particularly appealed to PC gamers. The Auroch Digital studio's title on the Steam platform has received a remarkable 91% positive reviews out of over 10,000 reviews.
It's worth reminding that Diablo IV will also hit Game Pass on March 28, which was announced during a recent Xbox podcast about the future of the brand. Microsoft aims to kick off an "offensive" by adding Activision Blizzard titles to the service with this move.
Finally, it's also worth mentioning the considerable success of Brotato. The game inspired by Vampire Survivors has already been downloaded over a million times by Game Pass subscribers.
