Bethesda has once again decided to block accounts for exploiting game bugs.

Once again, Bethesda tries to put Fallout 76 in order. After the recent dev room ban affair, the company launches another wave of account locks. According to a post on Bethesda's official message board, the reason for the bans are duplicate items. In short, every account on which an item gained as a result of this glitch was found will be or has been banned. In the same post, Bethesda announced that the ban will only be removed after the release of the update that will fix the issue.

The glitch that allowed for duplicating items from the player's inventory has been present in the game since launch. As a result, more pieces of a given item were available in the game than the creators predicted. Last Thursday there was a technical break, during which all items obtained through the glitch were removed from the game and the operation of servers was improved. At the same time, Bethesda decided to punish anyone who used such equipment. However, the bug itself has not been fixed. It is still possible to duplicate equipment. Interestingly, the bug was already removed once. However, it returned on the occasion of the next update.

It is worth recalling that Fallout 76 has amassed a long list of humiliating miscarriages since its release. The game received terrifyingly low review and community ratings, as a consequence of the disastrous technical condition at the time of the debut. Bethesda's failure to repair the game's numerous errors as well as controversies related to, among other things, leaks of customer data have all contributed to the game's disastrous sales. You can get a copy of Fallout 76 in a set with a used gamepad or a hard disk, that's how bad things are currently.
