The age of remakes seemingly continues, but we still haven't seen new versions of many outstanding, cult-classic RPGs. Which of them should be restored as soon as possible? Here are our suggestions.

Elder Scrolls 3 – Morrowind

The second installment of The Elder Scrolls series, released a few years before Morrowind, was contemptuously referred to by players as Buggerfall. Although the game generated an incredibly vast world, the journey through the systems of cities, caves and forests often ended suddenly and violently by the game crashing. Before the release of Morrowind, not everyone believed that Bethesda was able to create games that not only were original, but also stable at all.
Fortunately, there weren't as many bugs in the third part of The Elder Scrolls as before. The open world turned out to be much smaller this time, but each of its elements was carefully thought out. Thanks to this, it was a pleasure not only to follow the main plot (otherwise incomparably more entertaining than in its counterparts in Oblivion and Skyrim), but also to complete various side quests.
It's a pity that Bethesda hasn't decided to refresh one of its best single-player games ever. Instead, it focused on expanding Skyrim from 2011 with more cosmetic fixes (and recently even... paid user mods). Of course, there's also Elder Scrolls Online, but it's a completely different pair of shoes. The return of Morrowind would be quite the occasion. How about you?
Another classic 3D RPG was Fatalis Arx. The plot took us to a world where civilization was developing deep underground. Unfortunately, the gameplay was outdated already at the day of its release. Today, crude combat, an unclear map and numerous bugs may discourage even the most persistent fans of the genre from completing the main story. It's a pity, because the story itself and the original universe definitely deserve a second chance.
