What is Death's Door about?
This is an indie game, in which we play the role of a raven wielding a small glowing gladiolus and try to defeat much larger bosses ruling in a dark, fairy-tale land. By the way, the bird collects souls, because... that's its job. Once, during the daily routine, one of the souls is stolen and the player tries to hunt the thief down.
What makes it worth playing?
Sounds banal? Maybe so, but contrary to appearances, the story is steeped in black humor and raises important issues. One of the leitmotifs is transience and its inevitability. The strong point of Death's Door, in addition to the gloomy, atmospheric world and suggestive sound design, are the characters that the raven meets on its way. These are not empty shells, but heroes with a past. Often difficult and bitter. It's worth to get to know them all.
This production will appeal to people who enjoy challenge. Although it's not soulslike, it is full of difficult boss fights, and you have to watch out for smaller opponents. The reward for winning an extremely tough match is mainly the sense of satisfaction.
