- What is it: a tactical RPG in which we will lead a squad of heroes known from Marvel comics
Marvel's Midnight Suns is another of the many recent Marvel games. This time, however, we are not dealing with an online game-service nor an action RPG. Instead, the developers from Firaxis Games decided to give us a superhero-XCOM, in which we will lead a squad of characters known from comic book pages.
In the game we will play as Hunter, a debutee in the story, a character who defeated Lilith, mother of all demons, centuries ago. Unfortunately, she was revived years later and is threatening the humanity again. We, as experts, will lead a team of famous superheroes to kill her again. During the game, we will have to control characters such as Iron Man, Captain America, Blade or Captain Marvel.
The combat will be similar to games like XCOM or Gears Tactics. Together with our squad, we will find arenas full of enemies, terrain obstacles and exploding barrels. Combat will take place in a turn-based system, and we will have numerous special skills of individual heroes at our disposal. The right selection of squad consistency can therefore be the key to victory.
