Remothered: Broken Porcelain

  1. Release Date: October 2020
  2. Genre: survival horror
  3. Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne, Switch

In 2018, an Italian game developer Chris Darril, together with Stormind Games studio, developed the Clock Tower series-inspired survival horror called Remothered: Tormented Fathers. This title had solid reviews and gained sympathy of the players, so it was soon decided to create a sequel. Broken Porcelain is both a sequel and prequel to the original... And unfortunately, it only has any legs in terms of story.

Although the modest ensemble again served up a poignant story with excellent atmosphere, this time around, they were outdone by technical issues. The second Remothered is plagued by very serious bugs – from mood-killing, malfunctioning artificial intelligence algorithms, through ubiquitous graphical artifacts and control problems, to regular crashes of the entire game, ending with forced return to the desktop or console. The title of this production turned out to be prophetic for its quality – playing Broken Porcelain is like drinking tea from a broken cup.

He started with amateur websites, which he coded himself in HTML, then he moved on to increasingly larger portals. A computer engineer, but he was always more drawn to writing than programming, and he decided to tie his future with the former. In games, he primarily looks for stories, emotions, and immersion that no other medium can provide - hence, among his favorite titles, are games focusing on narration. Believes that NieR: Automata is the best game ever made.
