Beautiful Desolation

  1. Genre: isometric adventure game with RPG elements
  2. Developer: The Brotherhood
  3. Platforms: PC

The creators of Beautiful Desolation (and their previous production, Stasis) are perhaps best remembered for their desperate appeal to over 50. thousands of Pirates to support them with as little as a dollar in exchange for illegally downloading their latest work. It's pretty sad, but at the same time, it confirms how good the game created by just a two-man from the Brotherhood studio was. Beautiful Desolation is a point & click adventure observed from an isometric perspective. While controlling the two heroes, players explore the post-apocalyptic terrain of Africa, which has made a huge civilization leap thanks to a mysterious artifact from space.

It's developers drew some of their inspiration from Fallout, Mad Max, and many other sci-fi works from the 1980s and the '70s. First of all, however, at every step you can see a truly amazing quality of workmanship – a sensational graphic setting based on photogrammetry technology and good cutscenes. When playing Beautiful Desolation one can get a feeling he or she is dealing with at least an AA game rather than an indie game made by a handful of people. It is also highlighted by the soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon – the author of scores for games such as Doom Eternal and Prey.

  1. More about Beautiful Desolation

You're going to like Beautiful Desolation if:

  1. you like adventure games;
