Injured, far from family and friends, alone in a cold, wet AND dark city inhabited by humanoid robots. It doesn't sound like a dream start to an adventure. Fortunately, four paws are better than two, so as a resolute cat, we go on a journey full of challenges and dangers to find our loved ones.
Stray promises to be a graphical feast of and an adventure of a lonely cat in a big city. Although the main goal will be to return to the family, we will probably solve more than one mystery on the way and discover many secrets hidden in the city.
We learned from the trailers that the problem of interacting with city dwellers and digital systems has been solved by introducing a robotic companion – a small drone will accompany us for most of the game and will help us establish relationships, open locks or even fight.
The game seems to be one of the most interesting premieres of 2022, and for cat fans, it will probably be one of the most important games of the decade. Let's keep your fingers crossed so that it meets these expectations.
This isn't the only game about a lonely cat roaming the city!
Little Kitty, Big City is a sweet and slightly infantile story, full of joyful hues. Even though the title cat faces some kind of a challenges, they are neither scary nor particularly dangerous.
On the other hand, A Street Cat's Tale is a much more difficult game, in which keeping our hero healthy and fed can turn out to be quite a challenge. Making well-thought-out decisions and playing carefully does not guarantee a positive outcome, because we often lack information – due to communication barrier between animals and people. It's a truly touching and engaging story for a good few hours.
